For Black River Contracting’s new facility, we delivered a full-stack networking and security install built entirely on the UniFi ecosystem. The system was designed from the ground up to provide reliable connectivity, scalable surveillance, and secure access control throughout the building.
Network & Wi-Fi Infrastructure
Core Hardware:

- 7× UniFi U7 Lite Access Points
Setup:
We built a robust internal network with full Wi-Fi 6 coverage, ensuring fast, seamless connectivity throughout the building—from offices to shop floors.

Reliable wireless access with excellent range and performance, future-proofed for growing device demands.
Surveillance System
Cameras Installed:

Coverage Strategy:
Camera placement was designed to provide comprehensive exterior and entry-point monitoring, with high-resolution video and night vision across all key areas.
Result:
Clear, dependable video surveillance with remote access and intelligent motion alerts—boosting both security and peace of mind.
Access Control
Devices Installed:
- UniFi Reader Flex
- UniFi Door Hub
Functionality:
We integrated secure door access for employee entry points using NFC credentials, all managed through the UniFi dashboard.
Result:
Streamlined access control that’s easy to manage and integrates directly with the building’s broader network infrastructure.
Cabling & Backbone
Install:
We ran approximately 2,500 ft of CAT6 cable throughout the building, establishing a clean and efficient foundation for both current needs and future expansions.
Result:
A professionally routed, high-performance cable infrastructure supporting network speed, power delivery, and system reliability.
Outcome
This install gave Black River Contracting a modern, unified infrastructure for networking, security, and access—all fully manageable from a single interface. With UniFi at the core, their system is ready to scale with their business.
